Mitch Albom’s For One More Day
For One More Day is one of Mitch Albom’s books that changed my life. It is the first I have read among all his books. Of all his books, it’s the only one I always like to recommend because in some way, I see a lot of Chick Benettos in the people I know, including myself.
I was struck by the first words in the book—“Let me guess. You want to know why I tried to kill myself.” These words were very compelling that I was curious and drawn to read more. This book talked about regrets and second chances in life. Like Chick, I also have my own share of regrets and my plate is full. This book inspired me to think that each day we live is a gift and every breath we take is a chance to do something about our regrets. We shouldn’t wait for opportunity but to make every moment a notable break because not all of us are entitled to have one more day.
