Excessive hair loss has many causes. Most of the time, its cause is from improper hair care. For most males hair loss is hereditary.
Nowadays, there are plenty of salons and beauty centers everywhere. They offer a never-ending list of hair treatments like dyes, tints, bleaches, straighteners, permanent waves, hair relax, hot oil, rebound, cellophane, and many others. Generally, these treatments are not harmful. But the hair can be weakened and can break or even fall off if these procedures are done too frequently. When the treatment solutions are left longer than necessary, the hair can be brittle or fragile.

Teens Years
Teen years are a prime time for identity crisis and identity formation. Teens want to act like adults, but the child in them remains. They prefer friends to families, sweethearts to studies, gimmicks to responsibilities. Teen years are when pregnancies come into play. Teen pregnancy in the Philippines is increasing and becoming a major cause of concern.

Snail
My grandmother had a wide garden in our old house in the city when I was a child. She grew a lot of flowers and plants of different kinds including rare orchids and five pine trees. In her garden are also other living organisms that lived as well, that I hate like earthworms and snails. I hate the snails because it creeps slowly with odorous smell, and sharp antenna, its round curved shell is hard and color brown. When you invert it you can see its soft skin inside, it sips blood. One time, a snail came up to my feet and I shouted and panicked to my horror! Our family driver took the snail out of my feet.

City Fire
A big fire razed our city's main business establishments in the late seventies, leaving hundreds homeless and closed businesses. Fire fully blown and became uncontrollable that lasted until morning because the buildings were made of hazardous wood materials back then. Firefighters in their fire trucks went in and out of the fire scene that day. City residents living within the fire scene including my family vacated temporarily in the public school building nearby occupying the school premises for one day. I was happy at that time since classes were called off for a week.

Generic Medicines
Most of the Filipino people have this mentality that generic medicines are not that good as the branded medicines. Most of us think that those medicines or even any kinds of products which are expensive are the ones that are of good quality. However, just because a drug is priced lower does not mean that it has poor quality or is less effective. What we don’t know is that generic medicines use the same active ingredients and are shown to work the same way in the body, and produce similar benefits as their brand-name counterparts.

Intuition
It means trusting your own instinct/senses or awareness. Many people still have faith with their intuition and believe it or not sometimes it is always factual. It is like you wanted to ride a jeepney but you decided to walk instead and suddenly while walking you heard a loud squeaky sound - realizing that the jeepney encountered an accident. I had an experience where in I really have a gut feeling about the boyfriend of my friend but I cannot say it to her. One day as we were heading to our campus instead of taking the usual route going to our school I convinced her that we will try the other route. As we were proceeding, we saw her boyfriend at a nearby eatery with another girl. Hmmm.

Pedestrian Lanes
These are lanes used by pedestrians in order to cross the street. What I cannot understand is why Filipinos are not using it. May be because just thinking of it makes them tired especially if they have to locate the white and yellow lane or may be the pedestrian lane is too far from where they are situated. So, they just cross the street as if they are running for their lives because they are afraid that a car might hit them. Tsk! Tsk!

Sidewalk Vendors
Normally a sidewalk is situated on the side of the street. This footway is for commuters and pedestrian. But this is not the case in the Philippine streets you will see sidewalk vendor occupying the space selling different products, dry and cook foods. Just like in Cagayan de Oro City, the local government has a clearing operations program especially those vendors who have already put up illegal structures on the street. Despite the effort vendors keeps coming back. I just cannot understand why they keep on coming back and not using the relocation area provided to them by the local government?

Rice Alert!
Attention! The price of rice now is Php 52 per kilo. Wow! That was fast. People are finding ways to avail the NFA rice even if they have to fall in line the whole day since it is only sold for Php 25. Next week, it is expected that the price of gasoline will increase also for about Php 14. Ironically, despite the increase of our basic commodities our salaries or basic pay still remains the same.
