Garbage Can

My brother has a big garbage container which he had for years. Couple of weeks ago he put it in his front yard to be picked up by the garbage collectors. But got lost, I couldn't help but laugh at the thought why even a garbage can will become of interest to other people? And it happened here in America, who's not a third world country!

When we receive greeting cards from someone we expect, from a love one or even the unexpected ones, we feel happy and excited to be remembered. The words in the cards are like perfect words for the occasion and feeling and its wordings really hit your heart. Whoever thought of creating greeting cards? If only I am poetic and know how to sketch, I will apply as an artist at Hallmark.

My First House

Everything happens for a reason, it was by chance and accident I had my first house at 38 years old. My house was cute, small size and area, with two bedrooms. It is painted off-white and with pink trimmings as background and has a wide garden outside. But now its no longer mine for I gave it up in favor of my US relocation--again,....by chance.

Philippine Comics

I remember during my childhood days me and my sisters always hide in our room and read komiks. It is my favorite pastime. It is very addictive just like watching your favorite TV series expecting what would happen next. These are some famous komik serials: Kenkoy, Mga Kuwento ni Lola Basyang, Darna, Dyesebel, Ang Panday and a lot more.

Disneyland

Been to this almost fairy tale haven called Disneyland in Orlando, Florida three summers ago. First hop, the Seaworld where everything were aquatic and avery. Second day at the Epcot where we rode the roller coaster, a chance to join and play the almost perfect imitation of teevee's, "Millionaire's Game" but didn’t won, anyway their mock prizes were just pencil and paper not really millions. And we posed with and took pictures with the Disney characters specifically Mickey Mouse. Finally, the last day was at Magic Kingdome, where almost everything was fairy tales, castles and horror houses. My pick was at Epcot because of the games where you get to participate and enjoy.

Cash Aid to Poor Families

Around 4 million families in the Philippines will be receiving cash aid of 500 hundred pesos to help them in paying their electric bills. This one-time subsidy comes from the government and will be given to those who use below 100 kilowatt hours in a month. This is alright, but since this will be a one-time subsidy, what will happen next? The government should find ways to give them permanent work so that they can cope up with life’s expenses.

Sensible Dog

One day after eating breakfast, I fed our housedog Spikes with his Treat food. I happen to throw two treats he saw them drop off the floor. He ate one never minding the other treat but he knew there was another treat behind. I thought he forgot all about the second treat. I picked up the second treat and hide it and went to my other chores. Later, he came barking loud at me as if telling me "Hey, where’s my treat? Please give it to me."
