Philippines seldom make a mark among the world’s “top” polls. But when it comes to beaches and resorts, I would say that Philippines has competitive edge over other beaches and resorts around the world. Just like El Nido Resorts–Lagen Island which maintained its standing as one of Asia’s top luxury resorts after once again making it to Smart Travel Asia’s Best in Travel Poll 2008”s top list. Climbing from the 15th spot last year to the 12th spot, Lagen Island Resort is the only Philippine property to have made it to the top 25 Leisure Hotels and Resorts.
