Harana

Our father often times tells us how he courted our mother. He is always proud to tell us that it was the “harana” (serenade) which made our mom fell in love with him. Harana is one of the oldest forms of courtship in the old days aside from cutting wood (using axe) for cooking and fetching water. Traditionally, men are doing this to impress the family of the maiden and to get their approval. He-he-he.
